Officer Ella French Family In Blue
The Anti-Cruelty Society is honoring Officer French service to Chicago and love of animals by dedicating BARK 2022 in her memory.
BARK is Chicago’s oldest and best dog walk and party, and it’s also The Anti-Cruelty Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year.BARK begins with a 2.5 mile walk along Chicago's beautiful lakefront, followed by the best dog party in town with food, beverages, entertainment, and dog-friendly demonstrations. Some of the exciting activities planned for that day include: canine agility courses, pet product samples, activities for kids, souvenir photos, and a Pet Spa. Participants will also enjoy a variety of free food and beverages, live music, and much more!
This year weset an ambitious fundraising goal for BARK. The money raised will be used to provide critical care for thousands of animals and help them find good homes. It’s an amazing organization that I’m proud to support. Last year alone, they placed 4,828 animals in adoptive homes and 1,354 with fosters. ACS veterinarians performed 13,585 medical services in the clinic, along with 4,820 spay/neuter surgeries to help control the pet population.
Every donation makes a difference. The Anti-Cruelty Society has an open door policy and won’t turn away any animal regardless of age, condition, or temperament. A $10 donation can help pay for a deworming treatment, and a donation of $150 will pay for five days of shelter, medical care, and food for just one dog.
